Wanda Alfaro Honored as One of the Most Influential Women in Bay Area Business

SAN MATEO, Calif. – April 21, 2008

Borel Private Bank & Trust Company announced today that Wanda Alfaro, Senior Vice President and Manager of the Bank's San Francisco office was recognized by the San Francisco Business Times as one of the “Bay Area's Most Influential Women in Business.” The annual award recognizes women in the highest ranks of corporations and large public, nonprofit and government organizations who are making a difference in the organizations they lead, in their industries and in their communities.

“I am honored to be recognized among such an accomplished group of professional women”, said Alfaro, who joined Borel in 2004. “Borel should be credited as well for its commitment to community style and relationship banking. Without these values, it's hard to imagine accomplishing this level of professional success.”

Prior to joining Borel, Alfaro spent 20 years at Bank of America in the Bay Area, where she oversaw branch operations and service for 35 retail banking centers. She also served as SVP branch manager of its San Francisco main office.

“Wanda is extremely well respected and admired within the local banking community. She is equally well regarded among our client base. She has a stellar track record for consistently delivering results, with a deep commitment to personalized service and the community. It's no wonder she was honored. She is invaluable to us and we are very proud to say that she is a part of Borel,” said John Conover, CEO of Borel Private Bank & Trust Company.

In addition to her role with Borel Private Bank & Trust Company, Ms. Alfaro has served on the America Red Cross Gala sponsorship committee, the Women's Initiative Loan fund committee and has two years teaching at elementary schools via Junior Achievement.

Alfaro, along with other “Women of Influence” will be honored at a gala dinner celebration on June 3 at the San Francisco Hilton, hosted by the San Francisco Business Times.
