John A. Conover is President & Chief Executive
Officer of Borel Private Bank & Trust Company. He
joined Borel in April of 2003 as President & Chief
Operating Officer before becoming CEO in March of 2004.
Prior to joining Borel, Mr. Conover served as executive
vice president at Bank of America. With over 30 years
of experience, Mr. Conover has been involved in every
aspect of banking, including commercial banking and
managing 225 Bank of America branches throughout the
greater Bay Area.
In addition to his extensive banking background, Mr.
Conover is a noted philanthropist. He was formerly Chairman
of the Bay Area's Junior Achievement, San Francisco
Chair for March of Dimes WalkAmerica, a board member
of Silicon Valley Leadership Group, and directly
involved with numerous other nonprofits. He was also
the 1999 honoree for the National Philanthropy Award
in San Francisco.
Mr. Conover graduated from California State University,
Northridge. He also holds a degree from the Southern
Graduate Bank School at Southern Methodist University
in Dallas.
Mr. Conover resides in Los Altos Hills with his wife,
Linda and has three daughters. He currently serves as
a director for the San Mateo Chamber of Commerce, Junior Achievement of the Bay Area and the Housing Trust of San Mateo County (HEART).
