Sustainable San Mateo County Established in 1992 by a group of San Mateo County citizens, Sustainable San Mateo County (SSMC) is dedicated to the long-term health of our county's economy, environment and social equity. SSMC educates the community about sustainability through a program such as Indicators Project which provides fact-based information about local trends over time.
